It all started in 2016 when I had been working for this company for a year and a half. My main responsibility was to turn PSD mock-ups into functional web pages, and I had become quite good at it. However, one day, a client contacted the company and wanted a website, they had only one requirement, which was they wanted their website be built using WordPress. The project was assigned to me, and that’s when my journey with WordPress began.
I must confess that, although I had heard of WordPress before, I had never taken the time to learn more about it. But, as someone who is constantly seeking new and exciting challenges, I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by.
When I first started working with WordPress, I found it to be quite challenging. I was used to working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and WordPress was an entirely different ball game. the challenge here was not WordPress or how to navigate my way out but rather how meet the deadline, cause remember I here because a client wanted their website done with WordPress, which mean the client gave us a limited deadline.
I easily solved that challenge by focusing on learning WordPress in order to deliver the project on time than learning WordPress in order to master it, “I hope you understand what I am saying “, learning in order to deliver to me it means, doing everything so the client will have their website ready on time even though I don’t understand what I am doing as long as they like it, learning to master means going deep into all the aspect of WordPress to the level where I can create custom themes and plugins.
Long story short I successfully completed and delivered the project, the client was happy the company was happy and now I could dive deep into learning WordPress, It was quite overwhelming at first, but I was determined to master it.
I guess that since 2016, you have probably realized that WordPress holds no secrets for me. I now create custom themes and plugins for clients, as well as pre-made themes that I sell on WordPress marketplaces. here is my latest WordPress theme Jurcy .
